About The School of Digital Media Arts at Mildred Elley

What is digital media, why is it important, and why does it matter to you? At the moment and for the foreseeable future, digital content is a part of our everyday life in an increasingly more digital world. The employers of today and tomorrow need people with the skills to develop digital media for it. There are numerous employment and advancement opportunities today that did not exist ten years go, in fields like video game design, 3D animation for gaming and multimedia, web and multimedia authoring, digital publishing and content management, and digital design. Careers in these fields are going through a phase of tremendous growth. The School of Digital Media Arts at Mildred Elley is here to train and guide you to the careers that others only dream of.

The School of Digital Media Arts is the newest academic division of Mildred Elley. Mildred Elley is a private, accredited, degree-granted, co-educational institution of higher education with campuses in Latham, NY and Pittsfield, MA , offering degree and certificate programs in several career-oriented fields of study, as well as corporate training and professional development programs. Mildred Elley currently offers a diploma program in Graphic Design Technology at its Pittsfield , MA Campus. We are also preparing to launch several associate’s degree and diploma programs at our Latham, NY Campus. These programs in Game Design and 3D Animation and Digital Graphics and Multimedia Design are currently under approval by the Board of Regents of the University of the State of New York /New York State Education Department. Other programs offered by the School of Digital Media Arts in Latham, NY include the College in High School program (offering credit-bearing college courses to students currently in high school), annual Summer Game Design Institute (offering credit-bearing college courses to high-school students), annual Digital Media Arts Summer Camp (credit-free programs in game design, 3D animation, and multimedia for students in grades 6 through 9), and afternoon credit-free programs for students in grades 6 through 9.
