Held at the Latham, NY Campus
Summer Programs
July 14-August 22, 2008
If you’re entering grade six through eleven, you can explore the world of video game
production
at a summer camp unlike any other.
Unlike last year, each session will run from 9a.m. to 4p.m. for one week, Monday through Friday. There will still be a one hour lunch.
Registration filled up quickly last year, so register early! Some fees will be waived for early applicants,
and acting now assures that you will get the session
that you want.
Each session is designed as a stand-alone
learning experience; however, what you learn
in one session will be useful in others.
Daily Schedule
AM Hands-On Lecture: 9:00AM to 12:00PM
Students will be taught the fundamental concepts of video game design in respect to the session focus and practical hands-on application of these concepts.
Lunch Break: 12:00PM to 1:00PM
All students must bring their own lunch.
PM Instructional Game Play: 1:00PM to 4:00PM
Students will have instructional game play, where they will learn how the concepts taught in the AM are applied to their game creations or to other games.
Students can be dropped off at Mildred Elley no
earlier than
8:30AM and must be picked up no
later than 4:30PM. In other words, students should be dropped off no earlier than 30 minutes before class time and picked up no later than 30 minutes after class time.
Session Schedule and Descriptions

Lunch
All students must bring their own lunch each day and, if necessary, enough snacks to last the entire day.
Our Philosophy
Teamwork is a crucial part of the video
game design world. Each session combines
small group instruction with individual and
group projects to ignite the imaginations of future
game makers.
